In a groundbreaking move that could redefine sports entertainment, WWE’s crown jewel event — WrestleMania 41 — will stream live on Netflix for the first time in history. As WWE forges into a new digital era, this year’s WrestleMania, taking place over two electrifying nights at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, is already shaping up to be one of the most memorable spectacles the company has ever staged.
From global streaming on Netflix to jaw-dropping matches featuring legends like John Cena and CM Punk, WWE’s biggest annual event isn’t just changing where we watch — it’s changing everything we expect from WrestleMania.
A Streaming Revolution: WWE’s Netflix Debut
After WWE signed a historic $5 billion deal with Netflix earlier this year, WrestleMania 41 becomes the first pay-per-view to stream live on the platform in multiple countries around the world — including markets in Africa, Asia, and Europe.
This massive streaming shift means fans from Kenya to Korea, and from India to Ireland, can now enjoy WWE’s biggest night without cable or traditional pay-per-view — just a Netflix subscription.
However, U.S. viewers will still need to watch the event via Peacock, where WWE content continues to be hosted under a separate distribution deal. Plans start at $8 per month.
Two Nights, One Stage, and Countless Legends
Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium, home to the NFL’s Raiders, is hosting WrestleMania for the very first time. With over 65,000 fans expected each night, the energy in Sin City is off the charts.
Night One kicked off on April 19, and Night Two continues tonight, April 20 — with both shows starting at 7 PM ET / 4 PM PT. For fans in East Africa, that’s a 2 AM local start time.
The Main Events: Cena, Punk, Cody & Chaos
John Cena returned for what is rumored to be his final WrestleMania — and he did not disappoint. Facing Cody Rhodes in a high-stakes Undisputed WWE Championship match, Cena looked to capture a record-breaking 17th world title, breaking the tie with Ric Flair. Rhodes, however, was determined to cement his own legacy and continue the “American Nightmare” era.
CM Punk, making his first WrestleMania appearance in over a decade, stepped into a wild Triple Threat Match against Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. The bout was a brutal, emotionally charged showdown — but it was Rollins who walked away with the win after Paul Heyman shockingly turned on Reigns and Punk, aligning himself with the Visionary in a jaw-dropping betrayal.
More Championship Chaos
WrestleMania 41 has already delivered stunning title changes and unforgettable moments across the board:
- Jey Uso shocked the world by making Gunther tap out to win the Raw World Heavyweight Championship, ending the Ring General’s reign of dominance.
- Jacob Fatu, a fast-rising Samoan powerhouse, defeated LA Knight to become the new United States Champion, showcasing a brutal edge and championship-level charisma.
- In the women’s division, Tiffany Stratton retained her WWE Women’s Championship in a nail-biting match against Charlotte Flair, cementing her spot as the new queen of the women’s era.
Will The Rock Appear?
There’s been endless speculation surrounding a possible appearance by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, especially after his heavy involvement in WWE’s recent storylines and boardroom dealings. While WWE has not officially confirmed an in-ring return, Cody Rhodes teased the possibility during a press appearance on Friday, calling The Rock “an undeniable force behind WWE’s new direction.”
Whether fans see him tonight or not, The Rock’s presence looms large — and a surprise entrance at the climax of WrestleMania wouldn’t be out of the question.
A New Era for WWE
More than just another WrestleMania, the 41st edition represents a turning point for WWE as a business and global brand. With its expansion into Netflix’s global subscriber base — over 260 million and counting — WWE is now positioned to reach more fans than ever before, in more places than ever imagined.
This bold move mirrors WWE’s evolving identity. No longer just a wrestling company, WWE is now a multimedia juggernaut — delivering Hollywood-quality entertainment on a worldwide stage.
Final Bell
Whether you’re tuning in from Las Vegas, London, Lagos, or Lima, WrestleMania 41 is a celebration of everything WWE has been and everything it’s becoming.
The stories are bigger. The stakes are higher. And now, thanks to Netflix, the ring is global.
WrestleMania has never felt more alive.
