simply amazing, always for you.

Thousands of passengers across the Gulf and Pakistan are facing fresh travel uncertainty after Flydubai suspended flights to three major Pakistani cities in a move that has shocked regular travelers and raised questions across the aviation sector.

The Dubai-based low-cost carrier announced that flights to Islamabad, Lahore, and Peshawar will remain suspended until October 26, 2026. The airline cited “operational reasons” for the sudden decision but did not release detailed explanations behind the suspension.

The announcement has already disrupted travel plans for overseas Pakistani workers, students, business travelers, and families who depend heavily on Flydubai’s affordable routes between the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan.

Despite the suspension, Flydubai confirmed that flights to Karachi, Faisalabad, Multan, Quetta, and Sialkot will continue operating normally.

Travel agents in both the UAE and Pakistan say the decision is already creating pressure on competing airlines. Fares on alternative routes reportedly began rising within hours of the announcement as stranded travelers rushed to rebook flights.

The timing of the suspension has also fueled speculation within the aviation industry. Over the past two years, Flydubai had aggressively expanded its Pakistan network, adding more frequent flights and increasing passenger capacity on some of its busiest regional routes. The airline had positioned Pakistan as one of its key South Asian markets, especially for labor and family travel between the Gulf and the subcontinent.

For many travelers, the biggest concern now is affordability. Flydubai had become one of the most popular carriers for budget-conscious passengers due to its relatively lower ticket prices compared to full-service Gulf airlines. With fewer available seats in the market, analysts expect travel costs between Dubai and northern Pakistan to remain elevated in the coming months.

Passengers holding bookings for the affected routes are being advised to contact the airline directly or speak with their travel agents regarding refunds, rescheduling options, or alternative flights.

The suspension comes at a time when international travel demand across South Asia and the Middle East continues to surge, particularly ahead of the busy summer travel season.
